Primion is a global market leader in converged security solutions and workforce management. It offers intelligent, certified systems that protect operations, people, and critical assets worldwide. Its innovative solutions are used by more than 5,000 companies and institutions, including the airports of Frankfurt and Berlin, hospitals and clinics, major automotive brands, telecommunications operators, construction companies, luxury fashion firms, European-level data centres, and various public sector organisations.
Primion AG, based in the town of Tuggen, mainly performs operational and commercial functions with a specific purpose: acting as the local entity for the Swiss market, responsible for selling, implementing, and supporting the German subsidiary’s solutions.
The acquisition of Primion AG is part of Azkoyen Group’s strategic plan, built on innovation, diversification, internationalisation, and sustainability. In this regard, Juan José Suárez, Executive Chairman, stated:
“This acquisition strengthens the positioning of our Time & Security business line in the Swiss market and consolidates our presence in Central Europe, one of the key regions in our growth strategy. Our aim is to maintain our leadership in the sector and increase the number of customers who rely on our services.”
The purchase price amounts to 2,072,000 Swiss francs, equivalent to approximately 2,295,845 euros.
Strengthening of the Time & Security business line
The Access Control and Security division, led by Primion, is one of Azkoyen Group’s strategic pillars; in 2025, it accounted for 35% of the company’s total revenue. Its success is based on its ability to execute Converged Security projects—where physical, IT, and OT security come together—and Operational Workforce Management solutions, enabling companies to integrate their security and HR processes into a single, intelligent identity‑based platform.
Most sales in 2025 were generated in Germany (66%), followed by Belgium (16%), Spain (6%), France (4%), and other countries (8%).
