Sales for the Azkoyen Group in the first three months
of 2002 were 45.26 million euros, an improvement of 11.4%
on the turnover recorded in the first quarter of 2001
(40.6 million euros). The first quarter of this financial
year was "favourably affected by the prolongation
of the euro effect, which has now to an end", according
to information supplied to the National Securities Market
Commission.
The results after tax are 3.26 million euros, 10% more
than the consolidated profits after tax for the same
period of the previous financial year.
In the first three months of this year, the line of
business associated with the manufacture and sale of
catering equipment and vending machines represented
58.5% of the total sales, with a turnover of 26.49 million
euros. Mechanisms and systems for the selection, return
and monitoring of methods of payment recorded sales
of 10.94 million euros, 24.2% of the total, and the
remainder (17.3%) corresponded to coffee and products
sold.
